The Senior Software Developer will support the NGA Digital Maker Services (DMS) Developer Experience (DevX) Outreach team in St Louis, MO or Springfield, VA.

In this position you will:

Apply expertise and provide guidance to accelerate the development and deployment of operational services.
Guide development teams in choosing DevSecOps pipeline and platform technologies to ensure software is produced efficiently and securely while leveraging technologies, such as AWS and VMWare Tanzu.
Provide concierge services for government and contract developers to enable them to leverage DMS technical capabilities.
Develop and present introductory training workshops and labs for the DMS pipeline, including CI/CD tools, software repositories, security, and hosting technologies.
Manage and provide O&M services to NGA virtual development environments hosted in the cloud.
Maintain DevX user portal to provide current information on DMS capabilities, including DevSecOps pipeline tools as well as processes for acquiring access to them.

Education

BS in Computer Science or a related discipline with 12 plus years’ experience; MS in Computer Science or related discipline with 9+ years’ experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

US Citizen and Top Secret SCI – Willing to take Polygraph
Skilled in computer programming, software development, software engineering
Writing code using Python, Java, or other modern programming language for Microsoft or Linux platform.
Using Scrum framework and rapid development cycles.
Building CI/CD pipelines using Gitlab or Jenkins.
Developing capabilities for the cloud, specifically AWS.
Familiarity with NGA mission and organization.

Looking for Cloud Engineer

Responsible for working with the technical team to design, document, build, secure, and

maintain Elastic Stack Enterprise solutions (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana, and Beats)

deployed in the Cloud or on-premise to support federal agency production deployments

Work closely with architects, engineers, developers, and integrators to assess customer

requirements and to design and support Elastic Stack solutions

Configure and maintain Linux based Operating Systems in support of the Elasticsearch

products (to include product version upgrades)

Looking for a DevOps Engineer to help build and maintain cybersecurity infrastructure in support of the national security mission of the United States Government. Responsibilities

Support a team of DevOps Engineers in designing, developing, and maintaining a DevOps framework to support automation and deployment of operational capabilities
Develop both customer and team documentation of the DevOps process
Perform maintenance, upgrades, and troubleshooting of existing enterprise development applications
Provide technical support and training to project team and customer
Automate deployments of applications using Gitlab CI/CD, on-prem Kubernetes, Ansible, and other automation technologies

Minimum Requirements

5+ years of experience in a related field that may include DevOps responsibilities
Experience developing and managing applications running in Docker
Experience managing/administering a Kubernetes environment

Experience with distributed architectures including Linux (RHEL, Centos, Ubuntu, etc), macOS, and Windows Server Operating Systems
